At the top of the page, there is a search icon and the word "Media". Enter your search keywords or phrases here. Clear a search by clicking the X.
To the right of this, you'll find the filters icon. Clicking this opens the side bar and displays the available filters. You can reset the filters by clicking the "Reset" button. The filters icon turns red if filters have been applied. Select as many filters as you need to refine your search results.
The results can be viewed as tiles or in a list. The results can also be sorted by name or date.
Media
The right panel displays a preview and information for the selected asset. If multiple assets are selected, you can navigate through the information by using the paging feature. There is an option to enlarge the preview of the selected asset, and click through the pages of a book or magazine issue. This preview window can be closed by clicking the X on the right of the top navigation. The right navigation panel can be opened or closed at any time.
Collecting assets
The "Collections" tab shows all the collections you have created and curated collections shared with you. Curated collections are created by the Highlights team and you cannot modify its contents. On the other hand, you can add or remove assets in your created collections.
When you click on a collection, it opens and displays all its assets. The opened collection also provides a breadcrumb navigation back to the main "Collections" page.
Creating collections
To create a collection, go to the Collections page and click "Create Collection." Enter a name for the collection and click "Save." The new collection will appear on the Collections page.
Adding assets to collection
To add to a collection, go to the Media page and make a selection. Be sure to expand the side panel. A list of your collections will display. Select a collection and click "Add." There is an icon at the bottom right of each tile that will turn red when an option is added.
By default, you can select single assets. You can switch to the multi-select option to select multiple assets. Click the three dots (action menu) at the top of the page, then toggle to multi-select mode. To unselect an asset, simply click on it.
Removing assets from collections
To remove an asset, go to the Collections page. Open the relevant collection, select the asset, and click "Remove from collection" from the side panel.
Deleting/editing collections
To delete or edit a collection, go to the Collections page and select the collection. Click the three dots (action menu) at the top of the page for options including Delete Collection (with confirmation prompt) and Edit Collection (to change the title).
Downloading
Requesting a download
Please do not submit a download request for transfer of intellectual property unless you have a licensing content agreement with Highlights (permissions@highlights.com). To review content, refer to the Media section above.
The "Request Download" button can be found in the Collections page. To request a download, click the button and choose the files you want to download from the available assets. The available file types correspond to the assets in the collection (e.g., mp4, mov for video assets).
My Downloads
Once your download request has been reviewed, which may take several days, you will be notified that your files are ready for download. Log into the portal, then navigate to the downloads tab. The order will have a "Ready for Download" status. A zip file and can be downloaded directly to your computer.
Uploading
If your Highlights contact has asked to review final files, navigate to the Upload tab. Click the "Upload" button. In the right navigation panel, choose to browse files on your computer or drag-and-drop files directly into the window. After selecting your file(s), click "Add Files" to add more or "Start Upload" to initiate the upload process.
Once the upload is complete, the assets will be accessible in the Uploads area. Your Highlights contact will now be able to review the files and provide feedback.
Profile
Changing your profile
You can modify your portal user details and change your password in your Profile area. Click the Profile navigation item on the left.
To make changes to your user details, click on the "edit" icon in the right navigation panel. The icon will then be replaced by the appropriate options to edit your information. You can also upload a profile picture if you wish. Once you have made the desired changes, click "Save" to confirm or "Cancel" to undo.
Contract terms
After logging into the portal for the first time, you will be asked to accept the contract terms. These terms can also be reviewed at any time by accessing your user profile and clicking on the "Terms" tab. To view the terms, select the contract from the dropdown menu.
